To set up your email on any device (including your iPhone or Android) you will need to have a few things handy:
- First, your inbound mail servers. These will be listed in this format:
mail.YOUR-DOMAIN-HERE.com
- Second, your outbound mail servers. Generally speaking, you will want to use provided mail servers from your mobile carrier. You will need to get in touch with ATT, Verizon, Sprint, or T-Mobile to find out what your provided SMTP server is. The provided SMTP server will be fastest and most reliable, but if for whatever reason your carrier does not or will not provide you with one, you can also use
mail.YOUR-DOMAIN-HERE.com
- The port numbers for your mail servers. These differ depending on whether or not you need to use SSL encryption (you will only be able to use SSL with our outgoing/SMTP servers)
Be aware that if these servers AND ports do not match, your mail will not work
Bear in mind that these steps may differ slightly depending on what kind of iPhone you have.
- Go to the 'Settings button on your iPhone's main screen.

- Go to 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars'

- Select 'Add Account'

- Select 'Other'

- Select 'Add Mail Account'

- Select 'IMAP' at the top, then enter your account details. Your address is your full email (for example

. The description can be whatever you want.

- Under Incoming Mail Server put mail.YOURDOMAINHERE.com
Your username will be your full email, including the @yourdomain.com The password will be whatever you set when you set up the inbox. If you do not remember it, You can change it from the Truepath Control Panel

- Repeat the steps with the outgoing mail server, or if you are interested in using your provider's mail server, substitute that here.

- At this point your phone may try to verify and fail. This is ok, just make sure that the account creation process completes and the account is saved on your phone. Make sure that 'Mail' is set to 'On' on the next screen.

- If everything worked, your account will be listed under 'Accounts' in the 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' tab. Click on the account to edit the advanced settings.

- Click 'Advanced' at the bottom of the next screen.

- Make sure that the settings for the Outgoing Mail Server are as shown above. If you are using SSL use port 465 and ensure that SSL is enabled. If you are not using SSL, make sure it is disabled and use port 587

- You should now be able to see the emails in your inbox.
